Information related to visas and citizenship
The Australian Embassy in Zagreb does not provide visa and citizenship services. The Office of the Australian Department of Home Affairs in Berlin runs all Australian visa and citizenship services for Croatian nationality.Important: Croatian citizens can apply for most visas for Australia, and for Australian citizenship, online and using an ImmiAccount account. This method of requesting is the most desirable and effective way. Physical paper applications (which are only available in certain cases) should be sent to the Australian Embassy in Berlin.
Do not book flights or buy tickets until you have an approved visa to travel to Australia. The Ministry of the Interior will not be responsible for any financial losses incurred by clients whose visa applications are processed later than expected or whose visa has not been approved.
Closing of the visa office at the Australian Embassy in Vienna
Effective July 1, 2018, the Embassy of Australia in Vienna will no longer have a visa office.
In addition, you can apply for a range of temporary visas, permanent visas, and Australian citizenship online through ImmiAccount.
ImmiAccount allows you to scan and attach the required documents to your online request. You can open ImmiAccount at www.homeaffairs.gov.au/immiaccount
This is the most desirable and certainly the most effective way to process and review your application as quickly as possible.

Immigration office in Berlin processes the following visas for clients residing in Germany, Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Finland, Greece, Greenland, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Malta Netherlands, Norway, Poland, San Marino, the Slovak Republic, Sweden, Switzerland, and the Vatican.(Note: applications for permanent visas for clients currently residing in Kosovo can also be submitted to the Australian Embassy in Belgrade).
